Abstract

The experimental methods and parameters for measuring of mechanical properties of thin-sheet polymeric materials (textile materials, polymeric films, leather, sheets of plastic and paper (or metal)) are analyzed in this work. The main advantages and imperfections of these methods were shown. The comparison analysis of investigated methods has shown that the methods based on a complicated spatial deformation (punch or membrane deformation) are the most suitable methods for imitation, prediction and evaluation of mechanical behaviour of thin-sheet polymeric materials.
