Abstract

The paper presents a study of the influence exerted by some anorganic and organic chemical agents on the polypropylene filament yarns. The effect of a few chemica's has , been settled on the basis of the loss of weight and decrease of fibre strength after treatment with chemical textile auxiliaries for carious duration of time and at various temperatures. The ,results obtained can be used .for the characterisation of the behaviour of articles made of polypropylene fibres in the practical use.
