Abstract

Major novelties in the processing of flexible materials are presented, and innovations awarded under the patronage of The European Commission are described. The actions of one of the greatest reserach FP 7 projects of the European Union LEAP FROG are presented. Scientific institutions and universities that presented their most significant innovations were presented at 1MB 2009. Novelties in processing flexible materials are reviewed and IMB novelties are critically evaluated. Novelties presented in the field of computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) are discussed and critically evaluated.
