Flexible System for Preparation of Yarn Manufacture

Abstract

A flexible production system of carding in preparation of yarn manufacture is presented. Because of the demands for higher productivity, preparation of yarn manufacture is done in a more sophisticated manner today. The advantages of simulation in the preparation of yarn manufacture are pronounced especially in machine designing and in the control of production systems in the process of carding. Considerable production preparation is needed in both fields, which asks for a lot of engineering effort. Contemporary production systems are described, constructed on the modular principle, where the modules offer high flexibility of the carding system. Modules have different functions, depending on various fibre parameters, technical and technological characteristics of the machines used and linking the processes of carding and drawing. Furthermore, technological processors in the system make the analysis of the production line configuration possible as early as the phase of preparing the process of carding.
