Abstract

By the change of the yarn feed, also the yarn tensile strength at the vatri feed to the knitting feed system has changed from 0 to 20 cN, at the constant sinking depth. At a large circular knitting machine with the fineness E 15, 10 samples with various stitch density from cotton yarn treated with paraffin wax and untreated, with the fineness 30 tex, were knitted. An analysis is given of the tensile strength, elongation and elasticity of knitted fabric in the direction of the stitch courses and wales. The results obtained are presented in the form of tables and graphics.
