Abstract

A plan for a small family‘ owned manufacturing plant for ladies‘ cardigans with a V-cut and front buttoning with 9 buttons has been developed. Basic knitted fabric is produced as yardage goods in left-left jacquard knitting technique, employing flat knitting machine designated CMS 400, gauge E7, using yarn of 25 tex x 2 x 3. Fabric waste in cutting is 27 %. Production costs for the cardigan are 34.30 DEM, while in retail it costs 58.55 DEM
