A computer program for determining colors according to the catalog of colors

Abstract

The paper deals with the problem of dyeing on textiles samples despite the considerable relief brought by the development of computer technology. The basic color systems and their way of interworking have been elaborated. The main textile color catalogs used in the world are listed. The zpTextileColor version 1.0 software for the visual and numerical determination and conversion of RGB, CIEL*a*b*, HSL, CMYK into the PANTONE color catalog was designed and created. The basic information about this program is listed and its role in facilitating the conversion of color values from one system to another has been explained. The mode of operation with the program and its characteristics is described. It is presented and proven the necessity of computer application in the field of working with colors and color metrics.
