Abstract

During production, especially by the use of e-textiles, comes to mechanical effect on the built-in electrical and electronic components, primarily on the conductors of conductive yarn causing changes of their electrical properties. The changes in the electrical conductivity of conductive yarns subjected to stretching forces load are investigated. Electrical conductivity measurements were carried out on the length of one meter with selected stretching forces which are aimed in area of the elasticity of the both tested yarns. yarn is loaded with a certain force of experimental device, after which the current is measured at a constant voltage. Electrical resistance or electrical conductivity are calculated from read off values. The study was carried out on the single yarn and threadlike yarn of the same characteristics. Comparative analysis of the effect of mechanical load on the electrical conductivity of the yarn was conducted.
