Abstract

Carded ring-spun yarn and worsted ring-spun and rotor spun yarns were treated with cellulase enzymes Cellusoft L. Optimal work conditions: the concentration of cellulase and time of treatment were determined using 24 Factorial Design. The highest degree of hydrolyses was noticed on carded ring-spun yarns treated with cellulase and then followed worsted ring-spun and rotor spun yarns. The degree of hydrolyses increases with the increase of the concentration of enzymes on yarn hydrolysed in hanks and with the time of hydrolyses on yarn hidrolsed on cones. The hydrolyses of mercerize yarn was locketed on their surface without damaging them, and improved the appearance and handle of the yarns.
