Abstract

Different kinds of stains frequently make problems in processing of textile and leather care since they can not be removed only by regular process. It is necessary to carry out special treatment of stains - spotting. Pre-spotting is local removing of stains before, whilst post-spotting is removing stains after processing of textile and leather care. Analitical and methodical approach is very important for stain removal. Knowing and understanding of textile materials, as well as types of soils and agents require methodical approach. In this paper an overview of the most common stains on textiles and leather is given, as well as removing agents concerning the properties of materials.
