Optimizing in cotton bioscouring with acid and neutral pectinases

Research is focused on optimizing scouring of cotton fabrics with acid and neutral pectinases. For this purpose, the procedures of exhaustion and pad-roll were applied. The effects of bio scouring were compared with alkali scouring determining hydrophilicity, degree of whiteness and strength. Achieved effects justified the introduction of pectinases for cotton scouring; neutral and acid pectinase proved to be eligible. The results showed that exhaustion is more efficient than pad roll process.Downloads
