Developments in the Field of Sewing Technologies - IMB 2000

Abstract

The IMB 2000 exhibition has shown the latest trends in the development of garment and technical textiles manufacturing machines. Leading world machine makers have presented their modified and completely new sewing machines, all of them highly automated and with computerised control of sewing functions. New possibilities have also been outlined in the field of ergonomic workplace design. Together with the most modem sewing machines, various accessories and devices have been presented, aimed at improving machine efficiency and enhancing the quality of the article of clothing manufactured. Some machine makers have also presented their modular systems for flexible sewing operations, with multi-purpose sewing machines, linked together, which can be efficiently used in small-series manufacture.
