Abstract

A survey and comprehensive review is given of the developments in the field of obtaining fibre less prone to static charging, e.g. of the methods of manufacturing antistatic textiles, both theoretically and in practice. Types of antistatic textiles are discussed and principles of getting higher electrical conductivity of the fibres explained, as applied in real technological situations. A number of examples are listed and explained of real antistatic fibres marketed globally.
