Development of the Technological Process of Garment Sewing

Abstract

The origin, historic development and characteristics of modem sewing machines are described in brief. The application of modem measuring systems and methods, procedures and devices has contributed to a dynamic development of the technological process of garment sewing. A measuring system for the investigation of sewing needle penetration force, thread tension force, horizontal and vertical tension of the pressure foot is described.
