Yield Factor of One-size and Multi-size Cutting Layouts of Lady‘s Costume in Dependance on the Direction of the Fitting of the Parts of the Cut

Abstract

The paper is mainly concerned with the yield factor of one-size and multisize cutting layouts of lady‘s costume depending on the direction of the fitting of the parts of the cut. The investigation was carried out on one- size cutting layouts of the size 36, 42 and 46 and on multi-size cutting layouts of the size 42, 42 and 36, 42, 46, using the principles of one-way and two-way orientation of the parts of the cut. The investigation was carried out on 30 cutting layouts. It was found out, that with two-way fitting of multi-size cutting layouts a 2.54 % higher yield factor than with one-way fitting can be achieved.
