Abstract

Floor coverings made of natural and usually of wool fibres respectively have a series of advantages, one of which is self-extinguishing, but their price is higher than that of synthetic floor coverings. Synthetic floor coverings from various synthetic polymers mostly have a lower burning resistance that can be improved by anti-burning finishes. This paper describes how standard methods are used to test the impact of alcohol flame on tufting and needled floor coverings manufactured at the company Regenaracija Zabok.
