Abstract

The Lithuanian textile industry includes pre-processing of raw materials, production of yarn, woven and knitted flat products, production of non-woven textiles and textile finishing. The paper presents the most important economic indicators: the number of companies, the structure of employees, export and import, and the economic and financial efficiency of the branch. The current problems of this branch and the possibilities of solving them are also presented.
