Abstract

A survey and a critical view of some more important technical and technological developments presented at the clothing technology machine and equipment exhibition IMB'97 is given. New development trends and state-of-the-art of garment industry equipment are presented, from the points of view of self-diagnostics, flexibility, macro-programming and incorporation in more complex computer networks. A survey of the computer technical preparation is given, together with the surveys of the processes of cutting, sewing, garment finishing, logistics and interphase transport systems.
