Application of Quick Response Strategy in the Textile and Clothing Industry in Western Europe
Abstract
The changes of the market and development of computer technology give their contribution to development of the new strategies of management the production and business operation systems. One of the strategies is Quick Response Strategy, whose purpose is to assure quick reactions in the sphere of manufacture, that is, the reactions of quick response on the demands of the market. This strategy has successfully been introduced in the USA, and the conditions of its introduction into the Western European chain of processing and trade in textiles and fashion cloth are being considered. As the economic conditions in Western Europe and in the USA are very different, for the implementation of this strategy many efforts will be still necessary in the sphere of technology and organisation and in the creation of new forms of partnership between the trade and apparel and textile manufacturers. But the introduction of Quick Response Strategy is to be expected in Germany the season spring/summer 1989.Downloads
