Abstract

The paper deals with a special motorcycle jacket made by Mugen Denko, Japan, with a patented protection system based on the integrated airbags which are activated at the moment of the crash. This motorcycle jacket won the gold and silver medal at the World Exhibition of Inventing in Bruxelles in 2000 and the gold medal of the Safety Promotion Life Saving Division and also the gold medal at the Exhibition of Inventing in Paris in 2001. The Japanese Traffic Police have been wearing protective motorcycle jacket since 2003.
