Abstract

The paper deals with the characteristics of the development of folding and cutting machines in the technological process of clothing cutting which were presented at the IMB‘97. The leading manufacturers of machinery and equipment are presented: Lectra Systemes, Gerber Garment Technology, Investronica, Kuris, Mayer & Cie. and Rimoldi. Remarcabel progress in the development of machinery and equipment is achived by using computer control of the machinery for unwinding, laying, labelling and cutting different fabrics.
