Abstract

Computer programs have been developed to help with various optimizations. The following programs are described: [1 ] Lev and Korr, for optimizing chemicals for cellulose dyeing with Levafix dyes and adapting recipes to different conditions in the laboratory and plant, [2] Astras, for calculating retarders and optimizing the dyeing of polyacrylonitrile fibers with Astrazon dyes and [3 ] Resos, for calculating carriers and optimizing the process for dyeing polyester fibers with Resolin dyes. These programs help to systematically improve the transferability of recipes, to reduce the risk of uneven coloring and to select the most economical procedures and recipes.
