Stitch Damages in the Sewing Process of Knitwear

Abstract

The article discusses the influence of technical and technological factors on the number of stitch damages during the sewing process of knitwear. Methods for testing stitch damages on knitwear are described. The investigations of the influence of sewing needles on the damages in the sewing process of knitwear, using special sewing machine with the stitch type 406, needle fineness 75, 80 and 90 and corresponding thread fineness were carried out. The investigation were performed on cotton samples in three areas of relative humidity.
