Abstract

As the textile literature is short of data about the atmospheric effects on textile fibres, it was the objective of the present study to offer the concrete data about the atmospheric influences on wool fibres. The light, atmospheric oxygen, warmth and moisture excert a damaging influence on polymers and so on textile fibres. In the present study the damages of various deniers of wool fibres during exposure to ultraviolet rais were carried out. The experimental investigations on Xenotest apparatus proved damages on wool fibres.
