Abstract

Two years ago(R) Lanaset-Dyeing System was presented to the industry world-wide and successfully introduced. The process of dyeing is simple to be carried out and unic for all debths of shade and forms of supply. A gentle dyeing in isoelectric range is extremely important for wool and its subsequent processing. The process of dyeing, processing of woll in the spinning and the quality of yarn must be treated as a whole. Dyers and spinners from wool yarn spinning mills and worsted spinning mills referred spontaneously about their experiences with the new dyeing system. Compared to the conventionally dyed wool, the spinning output in wool spinning is higher. Regarding the elongation and breaking strength, a higher quality in worsted spinning could be noticed. In both fields considerably less thread breaks on the ring spinning machines could be found out. Using some examples, the influence of these advantages on the balance of wool mills is shown.
