Influence Exerted by Heavy Metal Ions on the Brightening Effects of Cotton and Polyester Woven Fabrics
Abstract
The influence exerted by heavy metal ions on the brightening effects is described. The investigations were carried out with optical brightening agents from the assortment of Chromos-Kutrilin, Zagreb on cotton and polyester fabrics. The effect exerted by heavy metal ions such as: Fe3+, A13+, Cu2+ and Mn2+ in hard and soft water with and without the addition of sequestering agents was investigated. The results of optical brightening were determined spectralphotometrically.Downloads
