Abstract

A new type of integrated knitted fabric containing the so-called suction wicks is discussed. As the material for sorption threads of these wicks, the modified viscose fibres, such as VILOFT or MODAL are the most convenient. The second part of the paper elucidates a new method for the determination of degree of moisture and the surface sweat absorption of several coats of integrated knitted fabric. The results obtained by investigation of the functional coats of knitted fabric are explained and compared with classically constructed knitted fabrics.
