Abstract

At the beginning of the 1980s, Volkmann introduced machines for two-coil netting and cabling to the market. Since then, the requirements for the quality of coils of double-wound retted yarn and cabled yarn have been constantly increasing. Over the past 25 years, there has been an evolution in the construction of power transmission devices. The high demands of further processing on the winding shape also played an important role.
