Abstract

Global elastane report, resp. spandex for 2006 states that spandex remains a high-quality specialty textile yarn that is constantly expanding its field of use. Heavy investment over the past decade has drained profitability from the supply chain, but new strategies should help stabilize the market. Under such circumstances, the next 12 months are expected to see real winners and losers in this industry.
