Abstract

The passing of the weft through the weaving shed with a microshuttle represents a complicated mechanical process. In this article a mathematical model is set up to describe this process, in which a great number of technical-technological parameters is included. The deduced expression for the determination of the speed of microshuttle has been simplified by neglecting some parameters, the influence of which is negligible and adapted to the practice. On the basis of experimental results obtained by measurement under plant conditions in the factory »Leteks« in Leskovac on the loom type Sulzer, model 85 VSD KR and in the textile industry »Vučje« in Vučje on the loom type STB 4-216, the exactness of mathematical model has been tested and recommendations given for the improvement of the speed of microshuttle depending on the linear mass of the yarn.
