Abstract

In addition to cut construction and production quality, the material type and quality incorporated in garment affect garment appearance quality. Since fabric quality being the main incorporated component of the garment is determined with its physical-mechanical properties, it is directly reflected on the appearance factors of manufactured garments and their quality level. In these cases appearance quality factors refer to garment drape, 3D garment form, quality of made seams and each total garment appearance quality. The study reveals the interrelationships of the parameters of mechanical and physical fabric properties along with the appearance quality level referring to individual factors. By comprehensive investigations it has been proved that specific parameters of physical-mechanical fabric properties affect each factor of garment appearance quality.
