Thermal Stability of Peroxide Bleached Cotton Fabric at Presence of Polymer Stabilizers

Abstract

The results presented in this paper show that the peroxide bleaching treatment with different stabilizers brings about favorable effects, especially when concerning the whiteness degree and thermal stability of the processed cotton fabric. Samples of peroxide bleached fabric at the presence of two-polymer stabilizers showed the best thermal characteristics analyzed by DSC and DTG methods. Kinetics parameters, reaction order and activation energy of the processed fabric are determinate by these methods. They showed better thermal behavior of samples bleached at presence of polymer stabilizers than those samples bleached at presence of water-glass or without stabilizers.
