Abstract

The paper presents the effects of gas phase fluorination and its suitability for modifying the surface of textile materials. The results confirm that the application of minimal concentrations of fluorine with high passage speed on textile materials achieves interesting surface effects. The good stability of the modification and the moderate cost of the device give this process an advantage over other pretreatment procedures.
