Abstract

The commonly as softeners used cation-active agents show at almostall fibrous materials very good soft handle effects. But in cases they show also disadvanates. Iff applied on cotton articles, following appearances can be manifested: - water-repellent effect, that is, deficient wettability and deficient absorption, - high surface smoothness, that is, low seam resistance and thread breaking power. In the paper the trials are explained, how to prevent these defects. Particularly advantageous for the practice proved to be polyblockcopolymers (oxyethylene - oxypropylene) and hydrophilic polydimethylsiloxane-block copolymers.
