Abstract

Smooth multifilament yarns of different raw material content were treated with ultrasound, with the aim to investigate the possibilities of changing their properties in an environmentally friendly way. The authors tried to establish the impact of ultrasound treatment on dimensional changes of polyamide and polypropylene yarns in the course of thermal and hydrothermal treatments.
