Abstract

Methods and mathematical basis for mirroring cutting patterns using computerised systems are presented. Cutting pattern mirroring, with the aim of obtaining complete cutting patterns, is shown as a part of cutting pattern symmetry. Mirroring is done using matrix transformations in three connected sub-operations and its purpose is to get mirror symmetries of cutting patterns. Mirror symmetrical cutting part is graded again in three connected sub-operations.
