Abstract

End-use of a textile fabric depends upon the physical properties of the fibres they are made of, as well as upon their macrostructure. Investigation of the properties of knitted fabrics with different macrostructure, made of cotton/PP yarn, is presented. Thermal properties, air permeability, water-vapour permeability are used as parameters for defining physiological and hygienic properties of the fabric and the level of comfort in wearing. Investigations described can be used to select the type of fibre to be used and the structure of the fabric in manufacturing sports and casual wear.
