Minimal Energy Consumption for Two-for-One Twisting Machines

Abstract

The process of two-for-one twisting using VTS-07/08/09 twisters manufactured by Volkmann, a Saurer Group Company, has been investigated. Advantages of such twisting have been discussed, on the basis of energy consumption analysis in various in-plant conditions, various balloon shapes, various yarn qualities, ergonomical characteristics and obtainable package sizes.
