Constructions for New Types of Technical Textiles

Abstract

The importance and variety of technical textiles used in different applications have been stressed. A division of technical textiles has been proposed on the basis of their functions, and individual groups have been defined, together with textile products belonging into these groups. New weaving and knitting processes for obtaining spherical and three-dimensional structures for woven and knitted materials for technical purposes have been described.
