Abstract

The purpose of this work was to inspect literature references in a critical way because according to them dyeing processes can be accelerated by the action of static magnetic fields. On the basis of dyeing cellulose fibres with direct dyestuffs it has been proved that either field strength or flaw speed of the bath in the magnetic field or the place of the oction of the field does not reveal any effect. This assertion is based on the fact that by the action of magnetic fields no changes of physicalchemical characteristics in the dyeing bath can be proved.
