Abstract

A summary is given of the international and European model of evaluating conformity and certification, the present state in this respect in the Republic of Croatia as well as the assumptions for the creation of a new certification system in Croatia on the basis of the new law of standardization which is in the process of enacting. Special emphasis is put on the present state in the field of textiles and clothing.
