Abstract

The position of combing in ring spinning is viewed from the point of view of yarn quality and economy. The recommendation of the process for preparation for combing and its influence on the operation of the comber are presented as the results of many years of experiments. Possibilities of savings in the combing process exist in the automation of the transport of the rolls, their greater mass and the shortening of the process after the comber.
