Complete Conception of Connecting Technical Preparation and Cutting Process in the Clothing Industry by the Use of Lectra-CAD/CAM-Systems

Abstract

The possibility of a complete conception of connecting preparation and technological cutting process of clothing by the use of modern, powerful CAD/CAM-systems manufactured by »Lectra Systemes« is outlined. Connecting by computers and computer networks beginning at the stage of designing of clothing to the completion of cuts, the graduation and the creation of cutting layouts is possible. The CAM-systems for spreading cutting bayers, automatic marking devices and aggregates for cutting layers are connected to the CAD-systems. Such systems are supplemented by task programs for cost calculation, technical drawing, optimization of material consumption and time as well as by programs for a successful work with databases and for computer communications what creates a new and complete conception of modern clothing production.
