Textile Coating
Abstract
Textile fabrics coated with coating finishes, their composition, the chemistry of applied polymers, the production technology as well as the properties of products are described. It is especially emphasized that the application and the properties of finished materials do not depend only on the textile as substratum of coating finish and applied polymer, from which polyvinylchloride and polyurethanes are mostly used, but on the applied procedure too. Because of a massive use of artificial leather and plasticised textiles as well as because of a difficult decomposition of the applied polymers, ecological problems of their removal are expected. It is foreseen that a solution of waste recycling is to be found in the future.Downloads
