Abstract

The front bonding of a non-woven interlining coated with a multivariable PES and PA thermoplastic layer was carried out on five various top cloths. The tenacity of the bond between top cloth and interlining as well as the resistance in dry cleaning were measured. The changes of colour of the top cloth appearing in the process of front bonding were examined. It was found that the change of colour is caused by a higher bonding temperature. The parameters of bonding, at which the changes of colour of the top cloth were decreased, were examined and determined. The tenacity and resistance of the bond between top cloth and interlining are satisfactory.
