Computer-Aided Determination of the Seam Allowances on the Parts of the Cut

Abstract

The paper describes the principles and the mathematical expressions on which the method for the computer-aided determination for the seam allowances on the parts of the cuts is based. The determination of the seam allowances is carried out on the parts of the cut whose contour is divided into several segments with the known coordinates of the main and auxiliary points, translated so, that the starting point of the coordinate system lies inside the contours of the part of the cut. Based on the presented mathematical expressions the shifts of the main points arising as the consequence of the seam allowances, as well as the necessary variable dates are computer-aided determined. In this way, by one of the grading methods the necessary transformation for the segments can be carried out and the new contour of the part of the cut with the seam allowances determined. Also computer-aided practical determination of the seam allowances on the back of the blouse is described.
