Fibre Morphology and Structure - Microfibrilar Fibre Nature
Abstract
Supermolecular structure of textile fibres is most closely connected with the picture of their fibrilar nature based on the proofs of the fibrous fibrilar structure of natural cellulose fibres and protein substances. The investigation results show beyond any doubt that microfibrils are basic structural elements and carriers of fibrous properties in all orientated man-made fibres, either from flexible or stiff molecules. The scope of this paper is limited to the basic legality of microfibrilar structure, its organization and properties of basic elements, i.e. their geometry, two-stage process and anisotropy. The condition of the thermodynamic stability of the microfibrilar state is described, and energetic comparison of originating microfibrils of natural and man-made fibres is presented.Downloads
