Abstract

The kinematics and dynamics of sliver opening during OE spinning are analysed in the paper. The sliver opening dynamic equation which was used for the determination of the optimum kinematics of the opening roller is defined and the procedure for the determination of sliver strength is given. The optimum opening roller kinematics for a sliver made from PES-Maklen and PAN-Dralon fibers has been calculated.
