Abstract

The Regulation 1836/93, issued by European Union, and speaking about voluntary participation of industrial companies in introducing such technological processes in textile production that will not endanger environment, is discussed. Entire material flow would be controlled in such a production, and the waste material generated in production would be adequately taken care for and deposited, burned, or, if possible, recycled. Textile product should have no harmful effect on human organism, and textiles not used any more should be deposited at a secured site, or recycled. The Regulation, which is not obligatory for the moment, aims at reducing the consumption of energy, chemicals and textile auxiliaries, which would result in lower level of technological water pollution, lower level of waste air and ground pollution. Economic effects of such textile production would be considerable at the same time.
