Abstract

Elasthan fibers belong to the group of highly elastic fibers having high utility values and a wide field of application. The production of polymers of the segmented polyurethane from which elasthan fibers are spun, is described. The molecular and overmolecular structure of fiber properties which result from this special structure are shown. The last part of the paper deals with the yarns being produced from elasthan fibers as well as the field of application of these yarns and elasthan filaments.
